Covid-19
At the moment, we are not running face-to-face classes, due to Covid 19, but please do join our mailing list if you would like to keep up to date when classes are back up and running.
In these workshops, children work with Brazilian Samba instruments, such as agogo bells and surdo drums, to create the carnival feel of Samba! They learn basic samba rhythms, call and response patterns, and play fun musical games together.
As well as workshops for children (with performances for parents at the end) Helen runs some family Samba drumming workshops, which are hugely popular. These workshops are also available for schools, with all instruments provided.
Children learn basic Samba rhythms and combine these in performances evoking the Brazilian carnival! Samba drumming is a fantastic way to encourage listening, collaboration and communication, using call and response patterns and lots of cues to look out for!
